They may be far from Europe, but Italian Gardens offers family-style dining with authentic homemade Italian and Sicilian fare prepared by the talented Chef de Cuisine Matt Bankey.
Chef Bankey, who started cooking at the young age of 16, has been creating signature Italian dishes for the last 5 of the 11 years Italian Gardens has been open. A gentleman by the name of George Mauer first built the unique and cozy building to house him on his fishing excursions and in the 1950s Anna Hanson purchased the building and used it as a gift shop.
While the building of Italian Gardens has it’s own story to tell, so does the food. Chef Bankey’s forte lies within his nightly specials, which he coins “anything and everything” Italian. If you’re craving a true Italian dining experience, Italian Gardens has just the menu and nightly special for you, reflecting dishes that have been perfected since the origin of their creation in Italy.
“Mama Mia” is Italian Garden’s summer long special which includes a starter, salad, choice of three entrees and dessert, all served family style. There are also the traditional à la cart entrée features or if pizza is your fancy, they offer fresh hand-tossed take-out all summer long!
Great Italian food always must be accompanied by great Italian wine. Not only does Italian Gardens offer the proper wine to food pairings, but they also offer a unique tasting experience with wine flights, offering a sampling of three Italian wines with your meal.
