One of the great things about staying at Grand View Lodge is the multitude of fun and exciting activities for the whole family, available right here and included in your stay! Whether you are looking to enjoy all the fun that a Minnesota winter has to offer or are excited to relax indoors by the pool, there is truly something for everyone. A few of the favorites that guests can’t stop talking about are our expansive outdoor year-round hot tub, our two magical ice skating rinks lined with twinkling lights, our awesome sledding hill, and the horse-drawn wagon rides around Grand View’s property. Don’t forget to visit the Pines Winter Recreation Center! Grand View’s Pines Golf Course is transformed into a winter wonderland complete with 8 kilometers of groomed trails. Cross-country skis and snowshoes are available complimentary for all of our guests.
Bring your skates! NEW at Grand View Lodge is our 2/3-mile-long Ice Trail! The Zamboni-groomed ice trail is perfect for skating hand in hand with your loved one or to get a fun workout in at some speed. Grand View has limited skates available so make sure to bring your own! Watch Video
TWO | NorthPark and Waterfront Pool
Completed in the spring of 2019, our NorthPark recreation center is the hub of all things fun at Grand View Lodge! NorthPark has its own indoor waterslide, a 25-yard swim lane lap pool, and multiple hot tubs. Make sure to check out our year-round outdoor hot tub, the perfect place to relax after a day full of enjoying all the outdoor fun! In addition to relaxing by the pool or swimming laps with your loved ones, NorthPark also features a state-of-the-art fitness center and yoga studio. Grand View offers dozens of fitness classes a week from yoga to spin. Can’t make it to one of our scheduled classes? Not to worry! With WellbeatsTM technology, stop into the fitness center whenever it’s convenient for you and enjoy one of the many on-demand exhilarating fitness classes. NorthPark is also the home base of our Kids Club program. Drop your kids off with our experienced instructors and let their creativity and imagination soar! While your children are making new friends, enjoying arts and crafts, and playing some fun games, you and your partner or friends can sneak away and enjoy some kid-free hours!

Our Glacial Waters Spa, located right here on our main property, has consistently been rated among Spas of America’s Top 100. FOUR | Restaurants and Beer/Wine Tastings
At Grand View Lodge’s main property, there are three unique dining venues that are open year-round for our guests. Experience one of the largest and best breakfast buffet spreads in the state at our Grand Breakfast (included daily with our Spring Break package!) In the evening, enjoy a culinary experience unlike any other at our romantic and intimate Cru or our delicious Char Steakhouse. If a more casual dining experience is what you are after, you will love our Northwoods Pub located right in the lower level of the Main Lodge! If you are looking for a Paul Bunyan-sized treat, make sure to try our signature Paul Bunyan Burger, loaded with two patties, four cheeses, and caramelized bacon. The Pub also features entertaining live music every weekend. New this year and located just outside of the Pub “On the Rocks” are our Igloos! Enjoy appetizers and warm drinks in our cozy heated igloos, all the while surrounded by a winter wonderland. There is truly never a dull moment at Grand View Lodge!
The adults in the group will love our signature beer and wine tastings. Hear from our wine experts and try wines from different regions of the world. FIVE | Mount Ski Gull
Mount Ski Gull, located just 15 minutes from Grand View Lodge’s main property is the perfect destination for an adventurous family-fun day! Strap on those skis or snowboard and explore the multitude of groomed ski runs from beginner to expert. If tubing is more your speed, Ski Gull is perfect! The newly renovated tubing hill, complete with a 700-foot-long ‘magic carpet’ that transports you to the top of the hill, is fun for the whole family. Exclusive for Grand View Lodge guests is a 15% discount on your ski, snowboard, or tubing pass. Just show your room key when you buy your tickets and enjoy an adventurous winter day on the hill at a discounted rate!
During Spring Break, the ski and snowboard runs (including the terrain park!) at Mount Ski Gull plan to be open every day starting at 4:00 p.m. on weekdays and 9:00 a.m. on weekends with the tubing hill being open on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. Though we all know the unpredictability a Minnesota winter can bring so make sure to check their website to stay up-to-date on any changes before you head to the hill.
