Summer Entertainment at Grand View Lodge
Another event to add to your bucket list while visiting the Brainerd Lakes Area – Grand View Lodge’s 3rd Annual Summer Concert Series sponsored by Hubbard Broadcasting and Tito’s Vodka! The Summer Concert Series features three great shows on Thursday evenings from 6 to 10 p.m. on the driving range at the Pines Golf Course. We are excited to announce the 2018 lineup! This year enjoy live music tributes featuring the Eagles, Elton John, Billy Joel, and Pink Floyd. Save and enjoy all three shows for $100 or buy tickets to one show for $40. Buy your tickets now!
The Pines driving range provides a great open area to enjoy live music in the summer sun. We recommend showing up early to reserve the best seat. We do suggest to bring a lawn chair or blanket to sit on, but we do set up a limited number of chairs in case you forget.
Save your appetite and have dinner with us before or during the shows. We will have a taco bar set up featuring chips and salsa, soft shell tacos with the choice of pull chick or beef barbacoa, and a selection of toppings. Also available for purchase is wine, beer, cocktails, soda, and bottled water.
Thursday, June 28 live on stage for the second year will be “Takin’ It To The Limit: A Tribute to the Eagles” presented by The Fabulous Armadillos and Collective Unconscious. Coined our most popular show last year, we had to bring them back again! The Fabulous Armadillos originated in Central Minnesota and play a variety of genres from Country to Motown to Heavy Metal and 70’s Soft Rock. Audiences have embraced every minute of this incredible concert event and are known to sing and even dance along to such hits as: “Take it Easy,” “Life in The Fast Lane,” “Desperado,” and many more. Opening for them at 6 p.m. is Fire and Rain, a tribute to James Taylor.
Back by popular demand, this year is Mick Sterling! Thursday, July 19, Sterling performs his Elton John/Billy Joel tribute. Sterling has had 38 years of passion for people and music. From songs like “Piano Man,” “Uptown Girl,” “Tiny Dancer,” and “Can You Feel the Love Tonight,” you are sure to jam out to every song.
Lastly, Thursday, August 9, we introduce Run Like Hell – America’s Premier Pink Floyd Tribute Show. Run Like Hell starts at 7 p.m. Based in St. Paul, MN, this band of six accomplished musicians and vocalists meticulously recreated the unique sound and spectacular visual show of Pink Floyd. Relive all of the hits from classic albums such as Dark Side of The Moon, The Wall, Animals, Wish You Were Here, Meddle, Division Bell, and many others.
We’ve partnered with Lakes Area Music Festival this year for their tenth anniversary. They are kicking off their season with a special gala performance under the stars here at Grand View Lodge on Saturday, August 4 starting at 6 p.m. The evening will begin with an assortment of gourmet food, wine, and beer selections; auction activities; and music. Then – as the sun sets over the driving range – the symphony will take the stage. Musicians from the top orchestras in the world will bring to life the magic of Harry Potter as well as classics like Superman and Star Wars. Tickets are $125, $50 is tax deductible.
