We are excited to introduce our new restaurant Crust Pizza this summer. It officially opens Friday, June 7 and will offer a variety of pizza options with fresh ingredients and meat topping options.

The restaurant will also have a small menu of other options as well.

One of the pasta options on the menu features bucatini with the option to add meatballs. Bucatini is a thick spaghetti-like pasta with a hole running through the center. The name comes from Italian: buco, meaning “hole.” The bucatini is served with red sauce and shaved parmesan with the option to add meatballs.


The secret to getting a super flavorful meatball is the combination of meats – Italian sausage and ground beef. A definite Italian favorite, stop in and try this dish for yourself or create your own with our meatball recipe below.


• 2 pounds ground Italian sausage
• 2 pounds ground beef
• 6 eggs, whole
• 2 oz Italian seasoning
• 1 cup parmesan, grated
• 2 oz parsley
• 4 oz chopped garlic
• 12 oz stale bread
• 2 cups milk
• salt and pepper to taste

Cut up bread/rolls/buns and toast off in the oven for a few minutes. Let them cool down, then roll them around in the milk.

Meanwhile, place the rest of the ingredients in the mixer for about 10 minutes.

Add in the bread/milk mixture and mix again for about 5-10 minutes.
Make a little patty and cook one off to try. Taste and season.

Ball them up into the size you are looking for. Cook at 400° for 10 minutes. Rotate and cook again for another 8-10 minutes. They should get some nice color on the outside and reach 165° on the inside.
