Another Spa Superstar Back for the Summer: The Return of Greg Letizia - World traveler, book writer, massage therapist

This June, we are welcoming back our Massage Therapist, Greg Letizia. Letizia is from Bellville, Ohio and has worked as a massage therapist at multiple resorts, including Faces Day Spa at the Hilton Head, The Omni Resort, and the Sonesta Resort.

“We are thrilled to have Greg back on the Glacial Water Spa team again this summer,” said Spa Director Lisa Miles. “He has a great positive attitude and is friendly and cheerful with guests.”

Letizia graduated from the International Spa Institute in Bluffton, South Carolina. He is a licensed massage therapist in South Carolina, Ohio, South Dakota, and Idaho.

The last four years Letizia has traveled to many places around the world to help, volunteer, and share his love and blessings to people who are simply struggling. He has traveled to Curacao, Puerto Rico, the Dominican Republic, Bali, Indonesia, the Phillippines, and Peru just to name a few.

“My focus is to bring joy and love to those less fortunate,” says Letizia. As a massage therapist, he finds clinics and helps out by offering free haircuts and massages.

After seeing an ad for employment at Grand View Lodge last summer, Letizia researched it online and was very impressed. “Aside from the resort looking beautiful, I’m a huge Green Bay Packer fan,” chuckled Letizia, “which was one of the reasons I chose Grand View Lodge.” Letizia’s plan was to work at Grand View Lodge during the summer and then when the summer season finished, purchase tickets to a Packers game at Lambeau Field in Green Bay, Wisconsin.

Letizia returns this summer on June 7 and will be here until mid-September. If you are having difficulty selecting a spa service, Letizia recommends the hot stone massage. “I prefer doing a 90-minute hot stone massage. It is my signature massage,” says Letizia.

Letizia loves the area that Grand View Lodge is settled in. When he isn’t working, he enjoys taking his bike on the Paul Bunyan Trails. Last summer, he took part in a golf tournament with his spa team. “No one could think of a team name, so I declared it ‘Spa Team Packers,’” he snickered. “And we won.” He said that his goal this summer was to visit a quarry as he likes to collect different agates.

“I have worked at multiple high-end spas, and Grand View Lodge tops my list. Employees get recognized,” Letizia said. “You can’t put a value on it.”

He said that Glacial Waters Spa offers more services than most of the places that he has been employed.  The guests who are on the table are the number one priority. After his summer season at the Glacial Waters Spa, he plans to take another trip somewhere warm to help others. “I couldn’t spend the whole winter in Minnesota,” he said. Last winter he stayed in the states to finish final edits on his book that he wrote, IT is Love: Triumph in Life and Missions. The book shares his life story of growing up in small-town America, describes his career starts, struggles, and missions to third world countries. Sixty-percent of the proceeds from his sales are donated.
