One might go from their hotel room, down the elevator, and straight to the conference room without ever getting any fresh air, or lakes views. At Grand View Lodge, we offer spectacular views just outside the conference center spaces. After a long day or on a meeting break, you can walk anywhere on property and enjoy the surroundings… towering pines, beautifully landscaped grounds, and the sounds of wildlife. We are located on Gull Lake and have 2,500 feet of natural sand beach.
2. We offer unique team building experiences.
Sometimes the best way to help your attendees get the most from their meeting experience is by arranging for one of our many unique team building experiences. Last year, we customized some activities to help give back to our local community. Some of those experiences included a bike build which helps Bridges of Hope, Kids Against Hunger which helps feed families locally and around the world, and an Amazing Race which helps out the food shelf.
Raft Building, wine tastings, pontoon rides, horseback riding, ice fishing tournament, sleigh/wagon rides, are only a few of the numerous options that we offer. Sometimes implementing a fun activity helps your team to be more productive and to grow together.
3. We offer a variety of fun and unique lunch and dinner buffet options.
Have you ever gone to a conference meeting, ate lunch, and thought, “That was the worst food I’ve ever eaten?” The food included frozen vegetables, cold food, or bland tastes. Not at Grand View Lodge. We have our own culinary team and it is our mission to provide the freshest ingredients, an innovative menu, and consistency to help exceed our guests’ expectations.

‘Get Your Grill On’: Which is our burger buffet.
Buns and breads, mixed green salad with assorted dressings, bacon and blue cheese potato salad, hamburgers, grilled chicken breasts, black bean burgers, cheeses, lettuce, tomatoes, red onions, pickles, kettle chips, and assorted cookies.
‘Sizzlin’ Southwest’: Which is our fajita buffet.
Flour tortillas, mixed green salad with assorted dressings, marinated chicken and beef fajitas with sautéed sweet peppers and onions, sour cream, guacamole, shredded cheddar cheese, Spanish rice, refried beans, and assorted cookies.
Little Italy: Which is our Italian buffet.
Assorted gourmet breads and breadsticks, Caesar salad, tomato mozzarella salad, balsamic reduction, chicken parmesan, marinara, mozzarella, fettuccine alfredo, grill vegetable primavera, and tiramisu.

4. We offer meeting spaces for any size group.
Whether you need a small boardroom location or a ballroom, we have the facilities to accommodate your group’s needs. From banquet or reception style to theater or classroom style, The Gull Lake Center and Norway Center have multiple rooms of various sizes that can be set up the way you please. The Gull Lake Center Ballroom, our largest indoor facility, can accommodate up to 650 people depending on the set-up style you desire.
5. We offer deluxe accommodations that aren’t like your typical conference.
Grand View Lodge has approximately 200 units available. It is our belief that your accommodations should be comfortable and a place to unwind after an exhilarating day of exploring.
Every cabin at Grand View Lodge is unique. We are not a standard one room, 2-bedroom queen hotel room. Many of our accommodations have kitchens, living rooms, and multiple bedrooms. You will be assigned to a group housing specialist to help book your accommodations. They will find which cabin style and unit will best suit your group’s needs.
6. We offer daily activities.
Don’t forget to pick up your Northwoods News at check-in. It is your guide to all of the daily activities offered on-site. Wine and beer tastings, bike riding, snowshoeing, live music and more – you won’t get bored during your stay!
7. We have a spa and golf courses within walking distance.
After a long day dedicated to meetings and agendas, it might be time to unwind at the Glacial Waters Spa. Offering multiple services to choose from, you are sure to reconnect and refresh after a long stressful day.
