Grand View Lodge employs seasonal and year-round staff at our Nisswa, MN resort and golf locations on beautiful Gull Lake. Our employees enjoy working in a beautiful, natural environment set amidst pine forest and lakes. We are located within 15 miles of Brainerd, MN and within 140 miles of Minneapolis.

Positions Available

Housekeepers – Seasonal +, $7.50/hr: Responsibilities include making beds, cleaning bathrooms, replenishing supplies, sweeping and mopping floors, emptying garbage’s, dusting, and vacuuming. Must be at least 16 years of age and have a valid driver’s license with at least one year clean driving record. No previous experience necessary.

Laundry Attendant – FT/Seasonal - $7.50/hr start/wage based on qualifications/experience: responsible for the sorting, washing, folding and storage of all linen.

Banquet Server - + $9.00/hr start: responsible for providing excellent banquet food service to the guests for all functions and special events. Tasks include set up and tear down of banquet function.

Massage Therapists -Part Time Year Round, hr + commission: responsible for professionally performing massage services. Candidate will work a variety of shifts. Must have at least 500 hours of massage therapy schooling to be considered.

Esthetician -Part Time Year Round, hr + commission: responsible for performing facials, waxing and a variety of body treatments for guests. Must hold and maintain a current state license.

Nail Technicians –Part Time Regular, hr + commission: This position is responsible for performing professional manicures and pedicures in a relaxing environment. Must hold and maintain a current state license.

Cooks – Seasonal, $10 - $14/hr: responsible for preparation and execution of all orders by properly preparing food according to pre-established guidelines and standards, ensuring only quality foods are produced on a timely and efficient manner.

Banquet Bartender – Seasonal FT, $7.25 plus tips: responsible for providing excellent food, wine, beer and liquor service to the guests in all outlets and during all functions and special events. Position requires service of alcohol, therefore the candidate must be 18 years of age or older.

Grand View Lodge hires local and international employees each season. We encourage you to apply early. Our peak hiring time is from February through April.

We offer:

Seasonal, full time positions.
Wages dependant upon knowledge, skills, ability and previous experience.
Start dates vary. Most employees need to be available by June 15th.
Uniforms are required and vary by position. Uniform shirts must be purchased from Grand View Lodge after arriving.
Employee housing is available but is limited.

International Applicants We employ international interns for the summer season. In order to work in the United States, you must obtain work authorization through a J-1 Visa. This is available through a credible student work or travel program. Grand View Lodge does NOT sponsor the J-1 Visa.

Summer Internships and Externships We have paid internships for students enrolled in college or universities in the United States. Please apply online and note that you are interested in an internship. We welcome all students. Colleges we have worked closely with include: University Wisconsin-Stout, University of Minnesota, University of North Dakota, Le Cordon Bleu, Central Lakes College and more.
