From the beautiful transformation of the leaves to the brisk, cool weather—this season has many Minnesotans claiming favoritism. There are many packages we are offering unique to this fantastic time of year.

What’s a vacation on Halloween without trick-or-treating? Our Grand View Lodge staff get into the Halloween spirit! Trick-or-treat on Saturday, October 28 during your stay. Your kids will be able to get candy at the Front Desk, M.V. Bakers, Gull Lake Center, Spa, and the Pool. Plus, we have horse-drawn wagon rides, fall carnival, and the Family Fun Center open most of the day.

That’s not the only thing we do to get into the spirit of the season. Grand View Lodge takes advantage of their rumored haunted house, also known as the Italian Gardens. As one of the oldest buildings on the resort, there have been reports of cracking floors, ghostly moving items, and the occasional scream-worthy scare. We do an earlier ‘light scare’ for the younger kids and then open up for ‘full scare’ later.

Not up for all of the kid’s activities? We have a five-course Prisoner’s Wine Dinner just for you. Be sure to wear a costume as we are giving away amazing prizes to the winners. The dinner is $125 per person plus tax and is in our Cru Restaurant and Wine Bar. Reservations are required, call 218-963-8756 or visit gvlfun.com.

4- Grand Brewfest

Back for our eighth year, the Grand Brewfest is November 17-18 starting at $185 per person for two nights.

The Brewfest package includes two nights deluxe lodging with breakfast daily and a complimentary annual Brewfest mug. Friday kicks off the weekend with an on-site Pub crawl. Hop on our shuttle and tour three of our bars: Northwoods Pub, Freddy’s Grill, and Cru. Each location will have a different theme with beer, full bar, and delectables available for purchase.

Saturday’s activities include everything from a one-mile beer run/walk to start the afternoon through our Garden 9-hole course. Varied stops throughout the run/walk feature some great tastings to keep you rolling. Following will be our classes and demos. The night cap will be our Grand Tasting. Taste beer from a variety of different Minnesota breweries, sample amazing flavors from our culinary team, and vote for your favorites.

Summer may be over, but the fun doesn’t end there. Whether you are interested in a weekend to improve yourself, party and enjoy fun activities, or do all things spooky – Grand View Lodge is your choice for a fall vacation destination.
