Kick off your Memorial Day weekend at Grand View Lodge with the Barnard Griffin Wine Dinner on Saturday, May 23rd. Set among the beautiful pines at Grand View Lodge’s historic property; enjoy a night filled with an array of incredible delicacies selected by Executive Chef Mike Manders along with a pairing of Barnard Griffin wines selected by our Wine Team.
Barnard Griffin, an award winning wine company based out of south-central Washington, has been producing wine for over 30 years. Winemaker Rob Griffin has been a pioneer in the industry by becoming the first winemaker at Preston Winery in 1977 and then becoming the first Best of Show award winner at the Seattle Enological Society’s Northwest Wine Festival with his 1977 Chardonnay. After working as a winemaker for Hogue Cellars and a consultant for several Washington producers, he opened the Barnard Griffin Winery and Tasting Room in 1996 with the help of his wife Deborah Barnard. Since then they have been striving to create wine of “quality, consistency and character from Washington’s premier family-owned winery,” while also creating new varieties for you to enjoy.
For $95 per person you can indulge your taste buds in a four-course dinner featuring plates such as a prosciutto-wrapped grilled peach, seared Ahi tuna and even luxardo cherries with a vanilla bean cheesecake. Along with outstanding food, you will be sure to have your taste buds tingling with a wide selection of Barnard Griffin wines. If you wish to view the entire menu for the evening click here.
The event will be hosted in the Heritage Room at Grand View Lodge on Saturday, May 23rd at 6:30 pm.
