Indoor Pool and Water Slide

This facility showcases a 110-foot indoor water slide, connecting swimming pools, two hot tubs, three fountains and two water guns.

Fitness Room

On the upper floor, you’ll find a fitness room complete with a ten station Universal Gym, exercise bicycle, treadmills, cross trainers, mats and more.

Winter Activities

Grand View Lodge is the perfect place to enjoy a winter vacation both indoor and outdoors. Experience the winter wonderland of the north woods…warm up in the Jacuzzi tub after ice fishing on beautiful Gull Lake or cross country skiing on over 18 kilometers of trails at The Pines Golf Course. Fish houses, cross country skis and snowshoes are available for rental.

At the Beach

Grand View boasts Minnesota’s finest 1,500 foot natural sand beach on beautiful Gull Lake. Experience world class fishing for Walleye and Northern, or drop a line off the dock and see what you can hook. We have a large variety of water sports including fishing boats, canoes, playaks, paddle boats and pontoons. Or, build a sand castle or get the family together for a little beach volleyball competition.

Boat Rentals

Playaks, canoes, paddle boats and non-motorized fishing boats are available at no charge. Motors, ski boats and pontoons are all available for rent.

A limited number of boat lifts are available to handle weights of up to 2,000 or 4,000 lbs. Since boats cannot be tied to beachfront docks, we recommend reserving these facilities in advance. There is an additional charge for boat lifts.

Jet skis are restricted to certain areas of the beach and are not allowed in the swimming areas.

Fishing

Gull Lake offers Walleye, Trout, Bass and more. Whether you’re a fishing expert or just a beginner, Gull Lake has all sorts of fish if you know where to find them. Enjoy one of our pontoon fishing excursions (great for kids), venture out on your own or hire a guide to find all the fish your looking for.

Social Activities

Sample of 2008 Activities

Our Social Director arranges horseback riding, biking, water activities, bingo, bonfires, cooking classes, watercolor art classes and more. Sign up at the desk when you arrive or call ahead if your group is larger than 15. Our social programs run from Memorial Day through Labor Day and many are included with your lodging.

Hiking and Nature

Walking trails on the grounds are adorned with thousands of flowers during the spring, summer and fall. The paved Paul Bunyan Trail is nearby offering up to 100 miles of trail from Brainerd to Bemidji. Miles of trails are also available in nearby Pillsbury State Forest.

Garden walks with wooded paths take you through the beautiful Grand View gardens with thousands of flowers.

Game Room

When the sun goes down, for more fun, head to the game room with video games, billiards and table tennis.
